WOOD FENCE
 Our Western wood cedar fences are custom built to conform to your yard and grade. Cedar wood is the first choice for a natural fence that contains natural preservatives that deter insects, inhibit decay and resist the elements. Cedar may be stained or painted, or left to weather to a gray color.
Our most popular top cut wood styles are Flat Top, Dog Ear, Gothic, and French Gothic. The picket boards can be placed to create several privacy options:
- Board next to Board Offers total privacy and economical using the full width of boards.
- Board over Board Adds dimension and total privacy with overlapping of boards.
- Shadow Box - Semi private design offering air flow and compliments both sides of the fence.
- Spaced Picket Offers containment for children and pets.
- Split Rail For a distinctive open look that marks boundaries.
We use #1 grade rough sawn Western Red Cedar boards, which have no loose knots or markings. For the construction of the fence, we use 4 x 4 posts and 2 x 4 rails. Pickets can be 6 x 1 or 4 x 1. Aluminum nails are used to prevent rusting; regular nails typically bleed into the wood causing dark stains. Posts are set 3 feet in the ground and may be cemented or dirt packed.
